Introduction to Decorative Painting
AGEING / DISTRESSING / ANTIQUING
Introduction to Decorative Painting is the first class that we recommend, as you learn all of the fundamentals of painting and more. This is a fun, informal, ‘hands on’ workshop that gives you an insight into the ‘Tricks of the Trade’. Even if you are a complete beginner or more experienced you will come away with a good knowledge of decorative painting. Intermediate and advanced workshops are available upon request. We are also getting geared up for wallpapering and decoupage fun workshops.
We cover:

Paints and their uses (chalk paint, french wash, rust, woodwash, milkpaint, verdigris, gold leaf and more)

Preparation and sanding (abrasives and tools)

Fillers and uses
We provide:

Protective clothing, a big artist's shirt

All materials to use

Comprehensive 'how-to' notes

Tea, coffee and snacks

Lovely glass of wine to finish the class off
Please bring:
A small piece of furniture, picture frame, ceiling rose, chair, table or anything you can carry
is ideal to bring along. Otherwise we'll have something for you.
